“A QUILTING BEE”
MAA CALL FOR ARTWORK
The Monroe Arts Association is accepting images for possible display in our next show “A Quilting Bee” This show will feature needlework/textile creations from local artists. We welcome any work that involves stitching: knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and other needle work are welcome. This show will run from February 21st through April 12th.
Guidelines for Eligible Artwork:
· Any stitching medium is welcome.
· Any work must be ready for hanging; quilts should have rods or other hanging mechanism.
· Work is your original work.
· Each artist is permitted to show up to three pieces.
· Work is in excellent condition.
· Work has not been displayed previously at the Monroe Arts Association.
· Wrapped canvas is okay.
· Artists may choose to sell work that is on display in the gallery. MAA takes a 35% commission on gallery sales. Any works sold will be exhibited until the end of the show.
Submission Guidelines:
· Artists should send photos of proposed work to MAAgallerydirector@gmail.com by January 31st. Notifications will be made by February 4th.
· Works will be dropped off from February 5th though February 15th during regular business hours and special hours that will be published when acceptances are sent out.
. We reserve the right to select works for display based on space and appropriateness.
